More About Establishing an Agricultural Company
A private, limited-liability legal entity, whose annual revenue from agricultural production and services provided to agriculture constitutes more than 50 percent of all total sales revenue.
An agricultural company (ŽŪB) may have two types of participants—members and shareholders. The minimum number of members is two. Shareholders differ from members in that they do not have voting rights in the members’ meeting, and only natural persons can be members, while both natural and legal persons can be shareholders. The property of all participants is separate from the company’s assets. Agricultural companies are exempt from profit tax, real estate tax, and contributions to the road fund.
Founders of an agricultural company can be individuals or legal entities from both Lithuania and abroad. The founding documents for the company include the establishment agreement, list of members, minutes of the founding meeting, and the articles of association.
